Soundcards recommended for use with PRAXIS
General: Many other soundcards from the manufacturersmentioned below (and other pro level manufacturers) can be used, but may have not been tested to date. See guidelines at http://www.libinst.com/praxfaq.htm#A1. SIMPLEST CARDS ARE BEST: AVOID EXTRA FEATURES AND "DO-DADS"!

PCI soundcards (for installation inside computers):
24/192kHz PCI soundcards
24/96kHz PCI soundcards
16/48kHz PCI soundcards*
*Note that consumer grade cards such as these can exhibit wide hardware and driver variations using the same product name, so using these is generally less certaion.
USB soundcards (for installation outside computers and laptops):
16/48kHz and/or 24/48kHz USB soundcards
24/96 USB soundcards (requires USB2.0)
PCMCIA soundcards (for installation inside laptops):
